Steve's 2001 Deuce is a good example
of
a redo
of a seat.
Steve did not like his seat. He bought another one which was the
touring model, but was still dissatisfied. Then he started redoing
the seat himself. But here, let him explain what he wants...
"the
drivers seat may need to be higher...not taken down...want it closer to
the height of the passenger...so it does not feel like she is on my
shoulders...I know this is ass-backwards...most drivers want lowest
profile possible...hugging the frame is important as far as with
goes...don't want it outside the frame rails..."
Steve's problem was his
wife was always a good 10-12 inches above him and this really made him
uncomfortable. He was able to get their distance 7 inches
difference with his own redoing, which they both liked. So he knew
what he wanted. We redid his seat according to his
wishes. He also wanted it Plain for the design, but with our
Millennium Foam for increased comfort.

May 2002
Hey patty,
now have a few hundred
miles on the new seat....
it is everything we thought and tried to do....
don't think it looks anything like we thought...
but fits and rides like a dream...
has a very nice look....just a plain
Jane...
we are very happy with
it....
one of the most important aspects is the fact that I
can feel my wife behind me....we are now as one...
rather than her being in another state! as she was
before the seat was remade...
again, as always thanks for all your help...
it has been a pleasure. |

Steve,
Thanks a lot for the pictures. I am glad that you are
finally happy with your seat.
I know you had your camera stolen and relied on others for these
pictures. But, we would all love to see a couple of
pictures of this beautiful concord purple and diamond ice paint
job on your Deuce.
Patty
